       Pulmonary edema

          Pulmonary edema is a condition fluid accumulated in the lungs ( alveoli ). The accumulated fluid leads to shortness of breath.

Causes : 

Symptoms :

          Symptoms of pulmonary edema include
  • Difficulty in breathing when sitting or orthopnea position.

Other symptoms include

Anxiety
Restlessness
Decreased level of conscious
Sweating excessive
Sweating of legs
Swelling of abdominal
Pale skin

Diagnostic Test :

Chest X - Ray
ABG
Hemogram
Renal profile II

Pulmonary Oedema Management

L     :     Lasix

M    :     Morphin

N     :     Nitroglycerin

O     :     Oxygen ( CPAP : Continue Positive Airway Pressure )

P      :     Prop Up Position
