Anatomical Planes and Terms
These are
three in number
1.Sagital Plane :
A section
taken along this plane is called as sagital plane. It will divide the body into
right and left parts.
2.Coronal Plane :
It is at
right angles of sagittal plane. A section takes along this plane is called as
coronal section which will divide the body into anterior and posterior parts.
3.Horizontal or Transverse Plane :
A section
taken along this plane will divide the body into upper and lower parts.
