Anatomical Position
In
this position the person will be standing straight with his head erect eyes
looking straight forwards, both the feet close together, both the upper limbs
by the side of the body with palms facing forwards. The study of human anatomy
is done in relation to this position only.
Supine Position :
The
person will be lying flat on a horizontal surface with his face directed
upward.
Prone Position :
The
person will be lying flat and horizontal surface with his face directed
downwards.
