SALMETEROL

• it is a selective long acting beta -2 adrenoceptor agonist and are used in the treatement of reversible obstructive pulmonay diseases such as                                                      
  •                    asthma,
  •                    emphysema,
  •                    bronchitis   
            Because they produce bronchodilation, inhibit the release of inflamatory mediator from mast cell and increase ciliary motility.

INDICATIONS :-

• Reversible airways obstruction in asthma.  

DOSAGE :-

• Adult : 2 inhalations ( 50 micro grams ) twice daily.

  Severe airway obstruction : 4 inhalations ( 100 micro grams) twice daily.
